Elvis Presely impersonators are under threat of being put of business.America’s estimated 30,000 Elvis impressionists could be forced to give up work after a New York businessman bought the rights to the legend’s name and likeness.Billionaire Robert Sillerman – who also owns the TV show 'American Idol' – last year paid $114 million (£65 million) for an 85 per cent stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises, which is run by Presley’s family.Though the rights do not extend to the singer’s music, Sillerman now has control of Graceland in Memphis, and control of the King’s name and likeness.Previously the Presley family, through Elvis Presley Enterprises, have allowed the majority of impersonators free use of Elvis’ name and likeness.However, speaking to the New York Times, Sillerman has revealed plans to open an interactive Elvis exhibit and an Elvis-themed cabaret show on the Las Vegas Strip, which could mean the end of the line for impressionists.“If we were going to do a show that was based on Elvis impersonators, then obviously it wouldn’t make sense to have unauthorised Elvis impersonators,” he said.

Types of Elvis impersonator

There are many differing types of Elvis impersonator. Most fall under the following main types which are;

Look-alikes who concentrate more on visual elements of Elvis fashion and style using accessories such as wigs, costumes and jewelry.
Sound alikes who concentrate on changing their voice to sing or talk like Elvis.
Combination who try to use a combination of both the visual and aural methods listed above.

Question: How Did Elvis Presley Die?

Answer: Elvis died on August 16, 1977 in the bathroom at Graceland. After being found on the bathroom floor, Elvis was rushed to the hospital where he was officially pronounced dead. The coroner recorded the cause of death as cardiac arrhythmia. While true in the strictest sense (cardiac arrhythmia basically means that the heart was beating irregularly and in this case, finally stopped), the attending physicians deliberately omitted the fact that what had apparently caused Elvis' heart to beat irregularly and then stop was an overdose of prescription drugs. These drugs included codeine, Valium, morphine, and Demorol, to name a few. After this information was revealed, Vernon Presley, Elvis' father, had the complete autopsy report sealed. It will remain sealed until 2027, fifty years after The King's death. Elvis' body is buried at Graceland.

Everyone seems fine with artefact's from the toilet being transported from the toilet to a gallery, so why not use the toilet as a space of its own. The fact that the toilet might not have anything to do with the work may in fact be a metaphor for how much we don't need Duchamp now that we're all grown up.

Its a story written on toilet paper. It even works as an installation piece since the Japanaese traditionally believe that Ghosts hide in the toilet. Its just such a good idea.
